Whether climbing high alpine passes or enjoying a long, fast Sunday ride, the BMC Teammachine SLR01 Five provides a sublime ride experience.
The bike is built around a frame that has been designed for both speed and comfort, with BMC’s carbon layup adding stiffness or compliance as required. This means that it transfers power efficiently and handles predictably, yet is still comfortable after a few hours in the saddle.
Clearance for 30mm tyres and a D-shaped carbon seatpost further increase the bike’s potential to damp vibrations from roads. There are also aerodynamic features such as Kamm tail tubing, redesigned fork and Aerocore bottle cages that integrate into the downtube and seat tube.
Shimano’s 12-speed Ultegra groupset shifts quicker and more accurately than ever, even when under full power up a hill or sprinting. The larger levers are easier to use, and as the shifters now connect wirelessly, the cockpit is cleaner and more aerodynamic.
Braking performance has been improved, with increased power and feel along with increased pad clearance.
35mm deep carbon wheels offer balance between aerodynamics, handling and weight so they can be used in all conditions while being tubeless-ready.
